Safety - the most important aspect in the construction industry. There have been far too many accidents on construction sites which could have been avoided if proper safety measures were provided. Being construction personnel myself, I want to do my part to promote better safety on site by providing basic safety information on construction sites on this construction-safetyonline.com site.
The tabs at the top of the page will lead to different topics on safety, such as design and training. On each topic page, the links on the left hand column will lead to information related to the particular type of sites where applicable.
Useful links are provided under the Main Menu for easy access to advice and legislation on safety in a number of countries. Some information provided may not be directly related to safety but nevertheless should be of interest to some readers. This site is in progress all the time as new information will be added from time to time.
To lighten up your day a little, a daily Dibert comic is at the bottom of this page. To those readers who are familiar with Dibert, no, I am not implying that all construction managers are like the pointy head boss, although some may look like him. Enjoy. |

For far too long, amongst all industrial activities, construction sites have been the undisputed leader in attracting, for the wrong reason, the most attention from the public regarding, sadly, accidents. Due to the nature of works, a fair number of these accidents are fatal.
I aim to provide on this web site, as much as possible, the general information on construction site safety. As with any subject, it is impossible for anyone to provide all the necessary information, in particular on construction sites where almost every single site is unique in nature. Readers should therefore satisfy themselves that they have obtained the required information and if necessary, seek any additional information from other sources. In this regard, readers are welcome to provide additional information which they consider would be beneficial to other readers. Readers can contact me via the contact link on the left menu. |
